We planned a 11 day toad trip to Jervis Bay, Dubbo and Hunter region in December 2020. This is a high level of record of where we went and what we did.
Day 1 - Sydney to Jervis Bay
Its a long road trip, so the essentials need to be taken care of. Few kilos of rice, Dhal, spices, two pressure cookers and an induction stove, neatly packed in a large bag.
Reached Jervis bay in three hours. Weather was OK. But the beaches were gorgeous. We took a sunset ride on the creek after we checked in to the hotel.
Day 2: Jervis Bay beaches and airbnb checkin
Woke up, packed snacks, went to the beaches, did a bit of bush walks
checked into airbnb. Wonderful place to stay
Day 3: beaches again, and to nowra - some view point and a bush walk that has a great wooden bridge
made pav bhaji, ate and slept
Day 4: Made breakfast and got ready to a long road trip to dubbo with a stopover at jenolan caves
it was a long drive
and the observatory was closed due to weather. no stars that night!
day 5: dubbo zoo on a bicycle. was hard to cycle uphill carrying the kid
and in the evening...adventure park
day 6 - zoo again, but this time on an electric cart and some time for waterplay
day 7 - drive to hunter and meet friends and some cricket with the kids
day 8 - killed the daytime and went to chirstmas lights in hunter valley garden. amazing display of lights
day 9 - Lots of cricket
Christmas lights again but could not take any additional pictures. But got to eat food in the lights area and it was good.
Day 11 - Balloon and Hunter valley gardens
realised that hunter valley garden is the same as christmas lights, but without the lights (and same entry fee)
THE END.
